Domestic Violence is a pattern of abuse in a relationship to exert power and control. It can be physical, emotional, sexual, economic, or psychological. Behaviors of abuse include intimidation, manipulation, humiliation, placing blame or injury. DV can happen to anyone regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or marital status. DV thrives behind the doors of our private lives which can make it difficult to seek help.
